The following Living Food recipes are some of our family favorites.
They all help in the process of detoxification and cleansing, naturally. You will see in the recipes that the food is not heated and some are actually germinated and fermented to create the enzymes we all so
desperately need. Some of the recipes can be found in our book, "Heal From The Inside Out, A Health Primer for Cleansing and Nourishing Body, Mind and Soul." We hope you enjoy them as much as we do!
Golden Flax Seed Grapefruit Drink

For those who have low blood sugar
and need more protein!
Adding soaked almonds, sunflower and/or pumpkin seeds
to the Buckwheat Drink will keep your blood sugar levels stable throughout the day. The Buckwheat Drink replaces soy or rice protein shakes that are so popular today and does not have the side effects of
constipation and bloating that so many people experience.
Remember to Chew your liquids, and liquify your solids Digestion begins in the mouth!
Sesame and Almond Milk
High in calcium, magnesium, protein, enzymes and
minerals. Adding Sesame or Almond Milk to your daily diet is the natural way to protect against osteoporosis. It builds bones and muscles, helps you feel stronger and increases overall stamina and immunity. My wife
and I simply love these milks. You can actually feel your body and your cells being nourished and absorbing this super nutrition! It tastes great with nothing added. This is a great way to start your day!
Ingredients: 1 cup organic (unhulled) brown sesame seeds or almonds 7 cups clean pure water vanilla extract or fresh vanilla bean Flora Sweet to taste
Soak sesame seed for 6-8
hours and almonds for 24 hours. Drain and
rinse. Place in blender with water. Blend on high speed for several minutes. Over a bowl, pour mixture into a cheese cloth or a stainless steel strainer and drain milk into bowl. Using a spoon to stir and mash mixture in a strainer is helpful. Throw out the hulls and pulp, chill and enjoy as an ice cold glass of milk or over your favorite cereal.
Sunflower Seed Pate
This is similar to Seed Cheese but less fermented.
Use this pate as a spread on crackers or in sandwiches, add to salad dressings or just enjoy it by the spoonful. Be creative!
Ingredients: 2 cups (hulled) organic sunflower seeds
3 Tbs. parsley and/or cilantro ½ tsp. cumin 2-3 cloves garlic 1 tbs. lemon or lime juice ½ tsp. Celtic or real salt, substitute dulse if desired 2 Tbs. Sesame Tahini
Soak sunflower seeds 6-8
hours. In the morning drain, rinse well and sprout for 2 hours in a large bowl. Leave sunflower seeds in bowl and fill with water to float the loosened seed skins out of the top of the bowl. This helps retain
freshness and color of finished pate. Blend all ingredients in a food processor or put through a Champion Juicer with the solid plate.
